Slack asks for a square image of at least 512 × 512 and at most 1024 × 1024.
YouTube 800 × 800
800 × 800 recommended, up to 2 MB. Displayed at about 98 × 98 as a circle.

How to use the resizer
- Add your photo. Use the largest copy you have, since it's easier to scale down than up.
- Frame it once. Drag and zoom so your face sits inside the dashed circle. That crop is used for every size.
- Download the platforms you need one at a time, or grab them all as a ZIP.
Why not upload the same image everywhere?
Often you can, but not always. Some platforms reject files that are too big (in pixels or megabytes) and some compress large uploads heavily, which is where blurry, blocky profile pictures come from. Giving each platform an image close to the size it actually stores avoids both problems, and keeps your picture looking the same everywhere.

Resizing happens in your browser. Your photo is never uploaded, and nothing is kept once you close the page.
Frequently asked questions
What's the best profile picture size for every platform?
There isn't one size that's ideal everywhere, but a square image of at least 1024 × 1024 pixels works almost everywhere, because platforms scale down cleanly. The exceptions are size limits: Microsoft 365 photos max out at 648 × 648, and Slack's at 1024 × 1024. That's why this tool exports each platform's own size.
Why does my profile picture look blurry after uploading?
Usually because the original was small and the platform scaled it up, or the photo was cropped very tightly from a larger picture. Start with the largest version of your photo you have, and avoid zooming in too far in the crop.
Should I use PNG or JPEG?
JPEG gives smaller files for photos, which helps with platforms that have tight file size limits. PNG is better for logos and graphics with flat colours or text. Recommended for each platform picks sensibly for you.
Can I make a non-square image?
Yes. Switch to Custom size and enter any width and height between 16 and 4096 pixels. The crop frame changes shape to match.
How up to date are these sizes?
Each preset was checked against the platform's own help pages or published limits in September 2026. Platforms do change them, so if an upload is rejected, the platform's own help page has the final word.
