Privacy policy

The short version

• Your images never leave your device. Every tool on this site processes images inside your web browser. They are not uploaded to our servers or to anyone else's.
• You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name or email to use the tools.
• We don't set any non-essential cookies.

Who we are

ProfilePicLab (profilepiclab.com) is run by BAV Tech Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales(company number 16629096). For this policy, we are the data controller. You can contact us athello@profilepiclab.com.

Your images

When you add an image to one of our tools, your browser reads the file from your device and does all the work itself: cropping, resizing, drawing animation frames and encoding the GIF, PNG or JPEG you download. This uses standard browser features (the Canvas API and Web Workers).

Your image is not sent over the internet, not stored on our servers and not seen by us. It stays in your browser's memory while the page is open, and it's discarded when you close or reload the page. We don't use your images to train anything, and we couldn't if we wanted to, because we never receive them.

What our hosting provider records

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is necessary to run a website and doesn't involve cookies set by us. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track you across sites and doesn't identify you.

Advertising

The site doesn't currently show ads. We may add them in future to keep the tools free. If we do, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it before any advertising cookies are set.

If you email us

If you contact us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and keep them for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry (normally no more than two years). Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us. Emails to our address are passed on by Cloudflare Email Routing and stored by our email provider, who handle them on our behalf.

Where data is processed

Cloudflare runs a global network, and our email provider may store messages outside the UK. Where personal data leaves the UK, it is protected by UK adequacy regulations or the standard contractual safeguards those providers offer.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Since we don't receive your images and don't ask for personal details to use the tools, we usually hold nothing about you unless you've emailed us. Children

The tools are suitable for anyone, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, for example by adding analytics or ads, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
